A few more finished projects!

I've been very busy the last couple of weeks doing some painting! I started out with these beauties.....

They were purchased at The Goodwill for under $5 for all of them! A can of white spray paint and a can of black spray paint and this is what they became.....

Then I started on this cabinet. It was fine white, but I wanted something different. So I painted it with a high gloss black on the outside and a light blue satin on the inside, it was called Comes the Dawn. I think it turned out perfect!
Since that cabinet turned out so well, I decided to go on and tackle the china cabinet. I'm so glad that I did! I bought this at an antique store in Floyd about 3 years ago for $150. It was old and it smelled. But only on the inside, so everything had to be washed as soon as you got it out. So this is how it turned out....Definitely needs some help, don't ya think?

I did run into some trouble on this one though. The black paint ran and ran! I ended up having to get a sander and sand it off and repaint. What a pain! But it turned out great after that!

Now I've just gotta clean the glass and get all of my dishes back in there! I'm done with painting for a few weeks! I'm going to VA for a few days and then when I get back, I'm painting the kitchen cabinets!
And at some point I'll have to start looking for a job, I'm officially a GA state licensed RN, as of today!

Now that's a dresser!

On our way back from Emerald Isle, well not exactly on the way, but we made it on our way, me and Mr F stopped by Furnitureland South in High Point. Over 1,000,000 sq feet of furniture! Wow! When I say they had everything I mean they had everything! Mr F has been looking for a desk for 3 years now. He's an engineer, need I say more? He could not find the right color, right wood, right dimensions, right layout, just picky picky picky! But what do you know, they had they exact one he wanted here! The first one we saw! Actually I saw it first and pointed it out:)
But on the way in when we first pulled into the parking lot, this is what I saw.....

Now I think I might even have a hard time filling that one! Mr F said he didn't think I would! That thing is like bigger than my house! So cool!

Giveaway! At Green Fairy Quilts!

Blog names

So tonight I was thinking about how other bloggers have these cool names for their family's. I tried coming up with a blog name for my husband, but nothing seemed to fit. I told him that I needed some help, and he just laughed at me. He then said that I could call him Mr Brickwall, since usually my conversations with him leave me feeling as if I've talked to a brick wall. I said no, although that fits completely, I just don't like that. So then I thought about Mr Wife. My daughter, Miss M, told me one day that I married the perfect wife. He doesn't mind cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and he's very organized. He's not the typical husband that sits on the sofa, watching tv and holding the remote until dinner is called. But then I decided on calling him Mr F. So Mr F is my hubby's blog name.

Flower arranging

I'm not much on silk flowers, never have been and I don't even have any in my home. Or at least I didn't before this week. I went to my new FAVORITE place, Hobby Lobby! They were having a sale and had the silk flowers 50% off. I saw some that I really liked and I couldn't resist! I had this basket sitting in the closet, it was painted gold, ugh! So with some white spray paint (forgot to take the before pictures) and my new flowers this is what I ended up with. I just love the colors! Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers!
