Ready for Some Gardening!
So I've been thinking alot about gardening. I can't wait to get started! But somehow during our move all of my little garden tools, tote, and gloves were misplaced. I do still have all of the big tools! So I guess this means I get to do some shopping, cause I can't garden without the proper equipment. Right?
Now I can just see me in my garden now with my awesome pink garden tote full of tools and seeds!
And of course I'd have to have some fiskars garden tools, they are so pretty I would almost hate to get them dirty. Almost:)
Then I also have to have some new pruners as well. There are lots of bushes that need to be pruned around here and these look like just the tools to do the job!
And of course I'd have to have my new gloves! Pink to match the bag, don't you think?
Of course I'd have to take care of my hands after all of that gardening:) This is the yummiest! It is so soft and it does not have a strong scent!
I've joined the Town and Country Garden Club here in town. I'm so excited! We have our next meeting on Tuesday. Now if spring would just get here, I'd be all set!

Pot holder swap
I've just joined a pot holder swap! I'm so excited! It's been so long since I've been in a swap. I just love getting things that other people have made and then knowing that something that I made is in someone else's home that I have never met and somewhere that I have never been. It's kind of cool to think that someone else is using my potholder, or maybe admiring it and afraid to use it and mess it up, which is what I'll probably do:)
I will posting pictures here as well as flickr.

We've been getting off easy! or should I say cheap?
Since we moved here in June, our gas bill has been the same every month. My husband and I are smart people, but it never occurred to us that we were only paying around $30 a month for gas. Even in the colder winter months! Today, the very nice gas man came to my door to inform me that our meter was broken and he replaced it with a new one. But it was nice of him to wait until the temperature started to go back up in the 50's rather than the 20's we've been having!
See the pictures below, this is what my neighborhood has looked like for the last week. We got about an inch of snow with ice mixed in and it stayed for a whole week! So not the norm for Atlanta! The kids even got 2 1/2 snow days out of it, I think that's one for the records here!

What a funfilled week!
I've had such a wonderful week! I have been feeling rather homesick lately. But my friend Kerry helped with that! She came to see me! It was just exactly what she and I both needed. Lots of girl time! We spent one entire day at Lenox Square Mall! And we could have gone back a few times:) We went to my favorite all time store, Anthropologie! And these adorable little measuring cups and measuring spoons happened to follow me home;) I've have been drooling over them for the last year. They are just so happy and springy feeling and just makes you want to bake. Don't they?
Then of course we found this adorable pillowcase for Kerry's daughter Ella at Pottery Barn Kids. I embroidered Ella's name it. Isn't it just so sweet! She's gonna just love it! I also did some altering on some tops that she bought.
I'm gonna miss her! I can't wait until March, she's planning a trip back to bring her boys to Six Flags!

Not sure why it won't add the link but I guess you'll have to copy and paste.

Happy New Year! and a giveaway
I'm hoping that everyone has a Happy New Year! And what better way to start off the new year than by seeing some wonderful sewing inspiration and a giveaway! Go here and see this fabulous cape that she is giving away! All I can say is WOW!
As I'm writing this I'm sitting here feeling all kinds of little fluttering in my tummy:) We have 19 more days and we find out, as Mr F says, will it be pink or blue? And he is down in the basement right now fixing the garage door that broke this morning. Thankfully it will only cost around $13 for a new gear box, instead of around $200 for a whole new opener. What a way to start off the new year, right?
